Hi Mike and Tracey, below is the review I finally managed to post on Tripadvisor yesterday. Thank you again for helping my family through such a difficult time and sending positive wishes to you and all your family.

Small friendly guest house (bed & breakfast only) with parking in quiet area with easy 10 minute access to Addenbrooke's Hospital or Cambridge city centre. Mike and Tracey lovely people who will help you with ANYTHING! Great breakfast, spotless rooms with comfy beds & good showers. Local convenience shops nearby and couple of minutes walk to buses (get a bus pass from the driver), leisure centre, variety of restaurants with bars & Tesco metro with cash machine. I stayed alone but my parents stayed a few days later so felt like part of the family! Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

My wife Dudley (a coeliac) and I stayed with you in May, when we spoke to you as we were leaving we promised that we would send you something for your site - here it is at last...

One of the most difficult things as a coeliac is eating out, and finding somewhere to stay that not only understands the diet but realises that gluten turns up in all sorts of unexpected things.  What a joy to find a Guest House run by a coeliac where you just don't have to worry about these things - and whether they have a separate toaster for the GF bread!  We were only staying for one night after a family birthday party in Cambridge and so we were perhaps not at our best in the morning(!) but it was a wonderful breakfast made all the better by knowing that it had been cooked with care by another coeliac.

So glad we stumbled on you and your wife's guest house - and that you had a room free.  What a find.  All very peaceful, clean, comfortable and welcoming (of course), but I was particularly pleased with the way my daughter's food allergies were catered for at breakfast. I say 'catered for' - as there's a vast difference between being offered just safe food and actually being catered for.  So many places will just remove the things she's allergic too, and give her half a plateful while everyone else is tucking in to a pile of food.  I'd like to thank you for the very generous extra helpings of the things she could eat - this makes her feel welcome, and something more than just hunger is satisfied.  I could tell that you suffer from food allergies yourself (even if you hadn't already told us), by the way you brought the dairy free margarine tub to the table so we could check out what you were serving.  Only someone with allergies would know how important this is for a person's peace of mind!  We often take things on trust when we eat out, but it's so much nicer not to have to.

Great Value, At Fairways Guesthouse

We stayed in the fairways guest house in Cambridge and found it to be a diamond in the heart of the bed and breakfast accommodation in Cambridge, close to my families home and a short walk from Cambridge railways station.
The only thing we found to be off putting was that their was charges for entering the Cambridge College Grounds, Tracy was the perfect host great breakfast and value for money will be back again soon.

Nice and comfortable  accommodation in Cambridge and we found it great being so near to the leisure park great for ten pin bowling just a short walk from the house breakfast to much filled me up for the whole day.

I would definitely recommend Fairways and will be back for the folk festival in august.

Finding a good, reasonably priced, place to stay in Cambridge is always difficult, especially if you need parking. We also needed to be within walking distance of the Cambridge Leisure Center and Fairways seemed to meet all our needs. We booked a double, en-suite room and hoped for the best. I have to say that all my expectations were exceeded by far - It's an old building but all the rooms are clean and very comfortable (we were so impressed that we asked to see some of the other rooms). Our room was very nicely presented - two sets of good quality bath and hand towels, spotless bed linen, shampoo & soaps, flat screen TV, tea/coffee making facilities, even a little packet of biscuits! After a good night sleep, we went down to breakfast. After seeing the picture of the offering on the web site, I was wondering what we would be in for. As it happened, we were served the very best scrambled eggs that we've ever had - you have to try it. By the way, if you have a food allergy problem, that's no problem - They cater for all conditions. To sum up, the owners are friendly and helpful. The guest house is clean and comfortable and you can park the car and walk or bus into the city center. Unless you want ultra modern (and can afford to pay for it) don't hesitate; it's perfect. Oh! by the way, you get free Wifi broadband too.

First impressions were not great, but once we were in our room we were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in a family room, it was tight, but fine. The room was clean and cleaned nicely daily even though it was tight. The bathroom was small and just OK, but really it had all we needed - just nothing fancy. Breakfast was great - with a choice of items!! The Inn Keepers were very friendly. The only drawback was that we had a room near the front entrance and the front door and the street out front were noisy at all hours. We slept well though. Free parking as well!!

Mike and Tracey the owners were very welcoming and I found my room clean and tidy and more than fit for purpose. The breakfast is great and Mike is very helpful in his knowledge on food and diet. If you need to be this side of Cambridge then well worth considering over a more expensive hotel.

Nice B&B, the room was small and there was nearly no place to fit the baby-cot but the service was ok. The breakfast is fine and yummy.

Fairways is very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Being Coeliac, I need a gluten free diet and the breakfast provided for me was generous in it's proportions and delicious in it's quality. Mike, the owner, is sympathetic to my needs and nothing is too much trouble. We have s tayed there now on 4 separate occasions and will certainly return on our next visit to Cambridge. I recommend it highly.

We were met at the door and treated with great courtesy by Tracey. Rooms were ready and our downstairs room was very spacious and very clean. It was nice to have a large room and we liked the idea of the shower being separate from the toilet and sink. The location was great because it was just a short walk in one direction from some very good restaurants, an entertainment area (movies, etc.) and convenience store. Then in the other direction, just a short walk, a post office and small shops. We also walked to the train station, several times, which was convenient. Bus service is also available. The morning breakfast was on time and very good. This is a very good place to stay for the Duxford Museum and/or air show. All the staff was very cordial, friendly and helpful. What I liked best was the room size, on site parking, location and breakfast. There was nothing I didn't like.
